#SchoolsNotPrisons

Rebrand and Campaign Design, at Revolve Impact

A movement brand has to work in a hundred hands you'll never meet.

Music festival key art for the LA Trade Tech show, built on the rebuilt identity.

Context

#SchoolsNotPrisons runs through organizers, artists, and partner orgs who all make their own materials. Without a system, twenty groups produce twenty different brands.

What I did

I rebuilt the identity and wrote the brand guide: logomarks, palette, typography, iconography, and templates anyone could run without a designer. Then built it out. Stage design for the music fest that brought IDK and Reverie to LA Trade Tech. Podcast set. Social assets.

Outcome

Same brand on a stage, a screen, and a street.

The festival stage in the round, with the movement banner running the full width of the truss.
Campaign carousel built from the identity, sized for the feeds partner organizers actually post in.
Printed handbills and posters for the music fest, stacked on a bench at the venue.
Brand guide cover, setting out the logomark set, the black, gold and cream palette, and the type stack.
Brand guide spread, written so a partner organization can produce correct materials without a designer.
Campaign infographic from the shared template set, carrying the palette and iconography.
Social graphic for the movement’s live series, using the abbreviated mark and the same gold.
